Goon follows the story of Doug Glatt (Sean William Scott), based on real life minor league hockey enforcer Doug Smith. Doug is a 27 year old dim-witted bouncer in a family of doctors. To Doug everything is fairly black and white and slow as he might be, Doug is a nice young man, exceedingly polite and always does exactly as he's told, underscored but the fact that everyone has a "thing" but him. Doug accompanies his best friend Pat (Jay Baruchel) to a hockey game one evening. During the game Pat antagonizes an opposing player who leaps into the stands to attack Pat at which point Doug steps in defending his friend, drawing admiration from the crowd which ends up leading to an offer to play for the hometown team. Doug who has "been touched by the fist of God" finally finds his place in the world and embarks on a path to becoming a "Goon". Pages: [1] 2
