Well in theory they are two different Genres.


The question is will GW2 be the final nail in the coffin for the half dead WOW.

If you gauge by sales numbers... D3 by a country mile plus a bit.  No offense to GW2, just think D3 will outsell GW2 by a lot. Having said that I'm glad they are coming out at different times so I can play both!

Yeah, D3 will out-sell any MMO by far.

However, although they are different genres, they are both huge time-sinks!

Diablo isn't an MMO. And I'm glad STO makes you happy.  As for me I prefer to stick to things that don't piss me off for my happiness.

I've been in it for a couple of weeks, I had no notification, I just logged into battle.net and it was available to DL.  If anyone is interested in doing a multiplayer run through this weekend let me know.  I know the game covers essentially the first 10 levels and 1 major boss so we can try a variety of classes prior to launch!
